Summer hikes from the Champagny valley (1,450m)
Whether you are an occasional hiker or a walker with strong calves, there are many routes from the picturesque hamlets of the valley!
A must for families and pushchairs: the Gorzdérés discovery trail which links Le Bois to Friburge without difficulty.
Climbing session in Champagny-le-Haut
At the entrance to the Champagny-le-Haut valley, go to the Grande Roche site, which faces the Grande Motte glacier. You will find 2 climbing cliffs, with about twenty routes ranging from 4a to 7a. Wearing a helmet is recommended! Remember to call on mountain professionals for a supervised outing.
The via ferrata of Plan du Bouc
Go for a vertical hike in the middle of nature! Count on about 450m of positive difference in altitude for the 2 possible routes (fairly difficult and not very difficult), with an exceptional view of the Champagny-le-Haut valley and the Vanoise. Open from mid-June to the end of October.
Holidays and accrobranche
On the banks of the Doron, just a stone’s throw from the Champagny-le-Haut campsite, take another step up and walk from spruce tree to spruce tree! Enjoy the footbridges, ladders, monkey bridge and zip line with friends or family! Open from mid-June to mid-September.
Summer stay in Champagny, land of glaciers
In the remarkably renovated former presbytery in the hamlet of Le Bois, discover the Espace Glacialis: an interpretation centre to understand the history and future of the Alps’ ice giants. Young and old, glaciology will no longer hold any secrets for you, with guided tours and fun scenography! Open every day in July and August, and at weekends in June and September.
This summer, disconnect, enjoy! A few kilometres from our residence, the secret valley of Champagny-le-Haut and all its activities will delight the whole family!
